Great Things...

First off... I have a new haircut!  One really cool thing about living in Houston is that I have access to Craigslist.  On craigslist stylist offer free haircuts when they are just starting out.  Okay so having a new person cut your hair is kind of scary... but I found one that has been cutting hair for a few years but because she is at a new studio she has to "prove herself".  So I managed to score a very cute haircut for free! Well almost free.. I did give her a tip of course.  This experience also made it so that I could try out the Toni & Guy hair salon in the Galleria.  I have to say it was a great experience.  They offer complimentary drinks, nice black robes to wear, you're able to kick up your feet... it was refreshing.  Hopefully I can manage to hold off until my new job starts off so that I can go back there rather than the local TGF.

Next up for this week is my trip.  I am heading up to Oklahoma in the morning to go stay with my grandmother for two weeks.  During our trip to Washington my grandmother ended up in a wreck (she was not in Washington for this trip) and ended up pretty hurt.  Since then there has been family by her side every day.  At the moment one of my aunts has been staying with her but she has to head back home on the 24th.  So I'll be going up for a two week stint to help her as she heels and just spend some time with her since it has been awhile.  After my turn another aunt will take over for a week, and then another aunt will take over.  Confusing? Maybe but thats family for you.  :)   To try and cheer grandma up I've been working on a family scrapbook for her full of family photos.  It is far from finished, but i have the main backgrounds, their color selections, and the photos together. I just need to finish cutting the elements and glue everything down.  I figure that since I'll be there for two weeks that I can also work on it while I'm there.

My flight is at 7:30 tomorrow, so I have to be there by 6 to be safe... and its already 2:09 in the morning.  I'm going to be kicking myself with as tired as I'm going to be so I'm off to bed.

Night!
