End of the year

Well I made it... the regular academic school year actually ended a little less than a month ago. Forty portfolios, report cards, and a mess of a classroom to rearrange and it is all finally finished. Currently I am teamed up with a Pre-K4 teacher while we teach the soon to be Pre-K4 kids how Pre-K4 runs. I have to be in by 7 and we leave around 4 which is very nice. Team teaching with another certified teacher is nice. I'm learning ideas from her and in return she is teaching me things too. I like working with an aide, but I definitely think working with another actual teacher is better. She has the background knowledge, leadership skills, and truly enjoys her job. I know there are some aides out there that enjoy their jobs, but I can tell that my regular aide is just doing this until her wedding arrives. In fact that has been clearly noted.

Anyways I've had some changes occur during the week of PD that we had shortly after school ended. I will no longer be in the green room and I'll now be in the blue room! This room has been used as a Spanish classroom from the beginning and is in better shape than my current room. Despite being called the Blue room, this room actually has two green walls and two blue walls, where as my green room had four green walls. Go figure. I'm going to go with a Blue Birds theme. On my door I would like to put maybe three different birds that are blue birds. One being an owl, one being a typical blue bird, and maybe a blue parrot. I'm not quite sure yet.

Big changes are coming to our house soon. My brother will be moving in with us since the job market back home is so limited due to being a small town. We'll be converting my office into his bedroom which means my purple wall will be going away and I'll need to figure out a new office space.... maybe that unused area in our house? I don't know. Either way I'm excited and so is Chris. He is ready to have a guy friend around to go to pubs with and do all of the guy things that I'm not really into. This wont be a permanent situation, just long enough for him to find a job and save up for an apartment either here or in Dallas.

Health issues have risen in our family... but we're all staying positive, optimistic, and just generally upbeat about all of it so I'm not stressing that much. Luckily Chris has an easy way to tell if I'm stressing even if its subconsciously... I sleep walk when I'm extremely stressed and so far it hasn't happened. I'll keep you updated as things keep changing in our world. :D
