9 Years

Nine years ago I started "blogging".  If you look in my closet you'll see several journals lined up, and online I've had one journal since 2001. I use to write in it very regularly, possibly too much at some times. As the years passed my blogging became less frequent to the point that in 2007 I only had probably 20 entries, even less for 2008 and only a handful for 2009.  What happened?  I started to feel odd about so much of my life being on one blog so I made that journal completely private and started up various other journals. Surprisingly they do not exist to this day. Why? Because people kept finding them and drama would ensue.  The only one that nobody ever found is that one that I started back in 2001.   The only reason it still exists and hasn't been deleted is because it has so much of my life in it.

Well it is time for deletion.  I found a wonderful site that converted the WHOLE journal into a PDF for me, and another site that will print and bind the journal with a hard cover for me all for $25. .  So as soon as we have a little extra cash, I'm going to have the book printed and shipped to me. Once it is in my possession I'll be deleting the 2001 journal.    I do not plan on deleting this journal as it has been wonderful writing about the transition into married life, moving to Houston, and hunting for my first job.   Will this journal be here for nine years like the last one? Who knows, but I can tell you that for some reason this site inspires me to write.   Maybe it was the advice that my grandmother in-law gave me.  She said to make sure to write about those little moments with Chris that makes life special.  One day my daughter or even grandchildren may want to read it once I'm long gone, or maybe I'll just want to look back and remember these moments.  Who knows where life will lead us.
