Well after weighing my options, many hours researching, talking with the people that I trust most, and listening to my heart, I finally made a decision. I ended up signing my paperwork today for my teaching job in the fall! The numbers for the school are still coming in since this will be their first year with Kinder and 1st grade so I'll know officially in a month what grade I'll have.
One change of events is that I will not start this summer, which actually turned out to be a blessing in disguise because another principal has expressed interest in having me teach 1st grade this summer for summer school. Whether or not that goes through I'm not sure because of a conflict with just the first day. I already had something planned that would cost me way too much to back out of now. So we'll see. I'm also dropping off my resume to a couple of places on Thursday that I would like to work during the summer.
Either way things are looking pretty great. I have a job for the fall, and we're going to start saving for a down payment for a house! Hopefully this time next year we'll be ready, but if it takes a little bit longer that is okay with me :) Right now apartment living works out really well for us, but our goal is to find a really great house in a year or two.
