Rollercoaster...

Our apartment has been a roller coaster of emotions tonight.  Partly due to my stress over job hunting and a pretty cruddy situation that I've discovered.  I won't get into details due to this blog being public but lets just say that another coworker and I put 2 and 2 together and realized we were possibly both given the big bait and switch.    Speaking of work, the talk of pink slips reversed today as teachers were given their contracts to sign for the next year.  As for support staff... no word as of yet.  Either way,  I want a lead teaching position so I'm still on the hunt incase the district does not hire for the fall which is a possible option at this time.

So back to the emotions of today.

I came home stressed over a situation at work....
I became angry that it was so hot in our apartment and the Texas humidity...
and then out of sheer frustration from todays work, being tired, and job hunting I broke down...
Chris hugged me and reminded me that we can live on his salary alone like we did for part of last year.
So there was relief.
Then Chris was all excited and giddy over a new xbox game that came out today...
but then five minutes into playing, his xbox completely died on him.... talk about Anger.
So he did all he could to fix it, but we had been dreading this event for a few weeks now.
we then talked about our savings and how he is getting a good sized overtime check and that we can go get another one, after all his last one lasted 5 years so he takes care of his stuff.
He felt relieved and then we hunted the area for a new xbox.

Now he is happily playing Splinter Cell while his most amazing wife types this entry. ;)

Why am I amazing? Because we always talk over big purchases and I shot down a PS3 awhile back so why would I say yes to a Xbox?   He worked really hard and late the past three weeks so why not have some fun with the rewards?

....I wonder if this gets me any closer to getting him to say yes to little clothing shopping spree???
