I was all psyched up for the upcoming job fairs around the area because I really want a lead teaching job next year. However I JUST received an email saying that two of the job fairs that I really wanted to attend are called off. Why?? No clues in the email or online as to why this decision was made. So now SBISD, and HISD are not having job fairs. HISD is going through a complete restructuring and all applications are submitted online now with a video lesson. I still have the Katy job fair and the Alief job fair coming up so hopefully those two stay on track. No word yet on if CyFair will be holding a job fair so I'm waiting to hear about that. None the less being the worry wart that I am, I'm starting to stress about jobs for the fall. If someone leaves my current location then I'll be moved into a lead teaching position but contract signings are not for another month or two so I have to wait. I would really like to stay at the school I am at so hopefully a position will work out there for me :)
