November Update

after my last post. I've been more assertive lately which has booste quite a bit. I let the fact that other staff members were talking behind my back roll off my back. If you can't have fun with prek kids then what's the point? Some other issues came up due to our partnership with another early childhood group, luckily my boss is amazing and pretty much told them that they couldn't come into my classroom when I have kids and lecture me about something that is not my responsibility anyways. It was stressful for a few hours but once my boss talked to me and let me know that she had my back I felt like things were wonderful. How great is it to know your boss has your back?

In other news my lil' blue is no longer here. We traded in my Focus last week for a new car!! It was pretty sad given that I have had that car through every life moment except for having kids. Could it have lasted that long? Maybe. Could it have lasted that long without leaving me stranded during the summer and winter weather? No. And what would be worse that being stranded on the toll way while pregnant in the middle of the summer in TEXAs? Nothing. So we traded her in now while she was still running. Oddly enough they didn't even test drive her. So they don't know about the broken window mover, the tail gate not staying up on its own, the shaky idling, or the piece of wood within the door frame holding up the glass. There was more, but I won't list it all. Let's just understand that the car was old and ready to go to car heaven. So I am now the proud owner of a 2012 Hyundai Elantra. It took a lot of research, consumer reports and deciding if it's a good mommy car since I plan to have it for awhile. I'll admit the baby bug is there, it doesn't help when Chris points out baby girl Christmas items when we are out and about looking for other items. I'm pretty sure we are still quite a ways away from even attempting, my guess is next summer at the earliest because I'd still like to attempt at planning it during the end of the school year. We will see.

The Christmas lights are now on the house and tomorrow we will get the tree down from the attic and hang up our new DIY wreath. Pictures will be coming soon :)
