Organized

Organization... this has been my goal for the month of February. We needed to organize the new house and my new classroom. So far the classroom is taking shape, I need to take a new photo of it because with the new arrangement the classroom looks HUGE. Items have been sorted, and now we just need to refine the areas a bit so the children can easily put the toys back where they go each day.

In terms of our house... we are very slowly getting there. Around the 15th the HOA completed a surprise visit to the neighborhood and then mailed out violations the following day. Luckily we only managed to get two. The violations we scored were for our yard. We knew our yard was not in the best shape, despite mowing it. We had yet to pull out all of the dead plants and had a palm tree that literally was dying due to some vicious roots that were trying to kill it. Needless to say we pulled out all of the dead plants, took out the pretty much dead palm, trimmed the hedges, and pulled down blankets of vines from the privacy wall. We are still not done, but hopefully it is enough to get the HOA to relax for a few more days. Most of the work is completed on the weekend, but we're out of weekends. Will they do another surprise visit this week? We'll see.

Pictures to come soon of our yard and my classroom.

Not much else is going on... but I'm feeling great about everything right now.
